Events Manager

This role is a crucial part of the Management Team, taking the form of one of the senior managers.

The key purpose of this role is take responsibility for all aspects of the management, development and profitability of the following activities with a primary focus on the Events programme:

Management, Promotion and Delivery of a full events programme throughout the facilities within the contract including but not exclusively the suggestions below:

A vibrant and effective promoted events programme covering events such as:
* Christmas Party Nights
* Cinema Club
* Comedy Club
* Tribute Acts

Private events bookings such as:
* Weddings
* Conferences
* Parties
* Award Ceremonies

Use of Venue finding services and event sales companies to Maximise event sales across the venues

TASKS
* To maximise the profitability of the Events operations including all of the areas listed above through the planning, delivery and management of each area.
* Providing an innovative and exciting events programme which presents the company in a positive light and attracts people to use the venues making use of every available opportunity.
* Promotion of in house events and private bookings to ensure that minimum occupancy levels are achieved.
* Ensuring that service across all areas is of an excellent standard.
* Controlling the costings of all of the above areas to ensure that the target margins and profit levels are achieved.(Where applicable)
* To contribute to the development and promotion of the following brands, including product development; The Saxon Suite
* To provide timely and relevant Key Performance Indicators relating to the above areas at the weekly management meeting or as requested.

* Event Management Experience

* A strong customer focus with a commitment to high quality service

* Computer literate/Report writing skills
* Marketing experience
* Financial/budgetary skills and experience
* Sense of Humour
* A proven track record in delivering business growth
