The benefits of joining ISPAL
Reasons to be cheerful
There are many reasons to be a member of ISPAL and in case you need a reminder, here are just a few:
1. Access to world leading information
Through the ISPAL 'Info Hub' members can request information, articles or fact sheets as part of their member benefits. Why use search engines to trawl through millions of pages when we can refine the search and do all the hard work for you? Call Lucy Roper on 0118 929 8356 or email infocentre@ispal.org.uk for more information. Alternatively, visit the new online Information Hub by way of 'My ISPAL Login'.
2. Your new member's magazine – INFORM
INFORM is a new quarterly publication distributed exclusively to ISPAL members. The magazine has been designed to meet the needs of our membership, providing the latest news and information, engaging features, updates from the Institute and all the latest jobs.
3. Use of the letters – MISPAL (Member of the Institute)
Don't forget that as a member of the Institute you are able to use the letters MISPAL on personal literature such as business cards. What better way to promote your passion and interest for the sector then by promoting your membership of the Institute responsible for supporting the individuals working in sport, parks and leisure?
4. Personal differentiation
At a time when the employment market place is so competitive, being a member of the Institute can help individuals differentiate themselves against the competition. Promoting your membership within your CV can further support your interest and passion in your work and could be the clinching factor in getting a new job or promotion.
5. Substantial discounts on training courses and conferences
In 2008 ISPAL has made a commitment that all our conferences and training events will have a minimum price difference of £95 between members and non-members. So if you only attend one event per year, you'll save the cost of your membership and receive all the additional benefits of being a member. It now pays to be a member of ISPAL.
6. Opportunity to shape your industry's future
We are currently redesigning specialist networks and groups that we hope will further support the Institute's development policy. We can then use these to advise key organisations on their future strategy. If you want to be part of this process, read INFORM magazine, our weekly e-zine and website for more information.
7. Further discounts for products and services
We will build on relationships with commercial suppliers that may be of interest to our members, and offer our members discounts on their products and services in order to benefit their organisations. Please continue to watch this space as we communicate these benefits in the very near future.
