Ready Steady Go! is a Level 2 weight management programme, funded by Lambeth Council. We provide nutritional education and physical activity sessions using MEND resources for children between the ages of 4 - 12, who are above the healthy weight. Our aim is to help instigate a change in the behaviour and lives of children and families in Lambeth and Southwark and to raise the awareness of health benefits related to the uptake and increase in physical activity.

We are looking for the following enthusiastic and highly motivated part-time staff:
* 5 Nutritional Education Leaders: Sessional Hours (Freelance Staff)
* 5 Exercise Leaders: Sessional Hours (Freelance Staff)

The successful applicants will be responsible for the delivery of a range of theory based and practical sessions including group activities, nutritional and educational sessions for both adults and children.

Previous experience in this project or MEND would be beneficial but not essential as if successful, you will need to undertake the relevant MEND training if you do not already hold this qualification.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a DBS certificate at an enhanced level.

The main responsibilities are:
* To be responsible for the planning and delivery of the either the Physical Activity or Nutrition sessions.
- Age 4-6 10 weeks sessions are once a week
- Age 7–12 12 weeks sessions are once a week

* To be responsible for the pre-session set up and post session clean-up of the equipment/resources.
* To be responsible for completing appropriate paperwork, reporting any issues and communication with the Ready Steady Go! project leads.
* To assist in collecting information / questionnaires from participants.
* To undertake outcome measurements of participants / parents at the measurement sessions.
* To participate in quarterly feedback sessions with the Project Manager/Co-ordinator.
* To assist with the development and enhancement of the nutritional / physical activity information that is delivered to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.
* To maintain the confidentiality of the participants as required.
* To always act in the best interest of the children attending the programme and to be sensitive to the issues faced by overweight and obese children and their carers.
* To be aware of child protection issues
* To undertake any other duty as requested by the Project Manager.
