Calls to end 'macho culture' in kitchens
Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines has called on employers in the hospitality industry to stamp out the 'macho culture' that is 'inhibiting kitchens’ across the UK. The comments follow figures from People 1st which show that more than 60 per cent of chefs are male, a percentage that significantly increases within fine dining restaurants.
