Indonesia plans to build 111-storey tower

Nigeria to overtake Mauritius as larger hotel market
Nigeria is expected to overtake Mauritius within the next five years and become a larger hotel
market
according to a recently published PwC hospitality report. The report, South African hospitality
outlook:2013-2017, says that although Mauritius is currently a much more developed market
than Nigeria, stay units in Nigeria are projected to surpass Mauritius in 2015 and to be 63 per
cent greater in 2017. This is the first time the report, which focusses on South Africa, included
information about hotel accommodation in Nigeria and Mauritius. More>>

Abu Dhabi Plaza Complex planned for Kazakhstan
The Abu Dhabi Plaza Complex in Astana, Kazakhstan will open to the public in November 2016, in
time for the Economic Expo 2017 which will be held in the capital city. Abu Dhabi-based Alder
Properties and Arabtec Holding have awarded a AED4bn contract to an Arabtec-led JV for the project. More>>

Dusit to open hotel in Doha this year
Thailand-based hospitality group Dusit International will open a hotel in West Bay, Doha, Qatar later this
year. The property will be the first Dusit-branded property in Qatar and the company's sixth in the Middle
East. The launch is part of the group's 'year of expansion'. Other openings in 2013 include two dusitD2-
branded properties in Nairobi, Kenya and Khao Yai, Thailand, as well as a Dusit Thani hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Dusit has also announced that a minimum of 10 hotels will developed over the next five years in China. More>>
