This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to embark on a leisure career at a busy and exciting Leisure Centre.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Membership Advisor who will report directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager. You will be flexible, reliable, possess good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

You will work between 24 and 32 hours per week on a shift rota. Your main duties will include dealing directly with all membership enquiries over the telephone, face-to-face and online, organising and delivering outreach activities and completing membership administration duties via our online systems.

Applicants should have demonstrable abilities of working within in a customer service/sales environment and have a track record of achieving targets. Full induction training will be given prior to the commencement of employment although competence in this area is essential. A Full UK Drivers Licence is desirable.

Stratfield Brake Sports Ground, Kidlington

Stratfield Brake Sports Ground in Kidlington, North Oxfordshire boasts a sports pavilion, two cricket grounds, rugby pitches, football pitches and the largest area of public open space in the village.

This key role will report to the Centre Manager and will involve the day-to-day management of the facility, taking full responsibility of the facility at key times to include Health and Safety, customer care and managing bookings. The post holder will take a lead role in developing and promoting an exciting and innovative sports programme to increase the usage and profitability of the facility.

The working hours will be based on a shift pattern. The successful candidate will be dynamic, demonstrate problem solving attributes, be able to use their initiative and think on their feet. You will be able to manage a team and ensure the sound operation and safety of your team and customers during your duty shift. You will be delegated specific areas of responsibility for which you will be accountable. We are seeking managers with expertise in events, functions and catering; as well as sports development and club partnerships.

The successful candidate should have good knowledge of the sports and leisure industry, excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to customer service. You will need a current First Aid at Work qualification. This position is subject to a DBS check.

North Devon Leisure Centre is based in the heart of Barnstaple. The centre comprises of a pool, fitness suite 100 station, dance studio, sports hall, squash courts, bowls hall, holiday club to name just a few of the facilities on site.

This key role reporting to the General Manager will involve the day to day management of the facility, taking full responsibility of the centre at certain times, including contract adherence, health and safety, customer care and leading and managing a small team off staff.

The working hours will be based on a shift pattern which includes Bank Holiday and weekend working. The successful candidate will be dynamic, be able to demonstrate problem solving attributes and be able to think on their feet.

An NPLQ and Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.

We are looking for a Swimming Instructor to promote our Learn to Swim programme, deliver engaging swimming lessons to all ages and abilities and provide exceptional customer service standards.

Our swimming schemes are based on the Swim Wales Learn to Swim Framework and it is essential to hold an ASA Level 2 teaching qualification or equivalent.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual who is looking to progress their career into management. This role will be adapted to fit you and your skills to ensure you reach your goals. You will oversee the centre operation and support the management team in the day-to-day running of the centre and in addition you’ll be involved in numerous activities and programs on offer.

As a Senior Duty Manager you will be trained to demonstrate full competence in the following areas; Financial reporting, processes and procedures, HR policies, procedures and practice, operational monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, customer service, sales and marketing. Riverside Leisure Centre is a flagship site with a 100 station ‘Expressions’ Gym, 2 group fitness studios, Cycle studio, 2 squash courts and Sports Hall 6 badminton courts.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will have a passion for delivering customer excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial procedures and leading and managing multiple departments. The post includes working on a shift pattern, working over 40 hours per week. Each Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities.
An NPLQ or First Aid at Work certificate is essential and Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.
The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and a good level of experience of working in a very busy wet/dry facility. As well as the fantastic swimming facilities there is also a superb Fitness Centre incorporating a 130 Station Gym, Health Suite, Spin Studio, Dance Studio, Brand new state of the art Queenax gym as well as a café area.

Reporting to the Centre Manager the successful candidate will be required to assist with the daily running of the site’s plant rooms, planned preventative maintenance programme and corrective actions.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and have a proven knowledge of all aspects of maintenance requirements. Experience of working in a leisure industry would be advantageous but not essential. The candidate must also be able to clearly identify and meet the requirements of Legacy Leisure customers.
