We are looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to start your leisure career. As a Recreation Assistant you will be responsible for the safety and enjoyment of our customers within the facilities. Energy and enthusiasm is a must for this role as you will be promoting our philosophy of Quality, Care and Excellence in the service you provide. You will ideally hold a current NPLQ qualification or willing to undertake the necessary training to perform your role. A relevant NVQ Level 2, First Aid at Work or any recognised coaching qualification would be advantageous. As the successful candidate you’ll need to be flexible and willing to work various shift patterns which include early mornings, evenings and weekends.

An exciting opportunity exists within our Windsor Contract. Windsor Leisure Centre boasts a 25 metre, 6 lane Swimming Pool, Leisure Pool, 150 station ‘Expressions’ Fitness Gym, 3 group fitness studios, 8 court Sports Hall, cafe, All weather pitch & other indoor facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop within the leisure industry.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care and leading a large team of staff. The post includes evenings and weekend working over 40 hours per week. Each Trainee Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities.

An NPLQ and First Aid at Work certificate are essential and Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.

The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and experience of working in a busy wet/dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to customer service are essential. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Duty Managers looking to develop their career at a high performing leisure centre. Windsor Leisure Centre is a flagship site with a 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool, large family leisure pool with waves, 150 station ‘Expressions’ Gym, Health suite, group fitness studios, conference rooms, retail outlets, 8 court Sports Hall, cafe, All weather pitch & other indoor facilities.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidates will have a passion for delivering customer excellence. We are offering both a permanent position and a fixed term position until 31st December 2018. The successful candidates will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial procedures and leading and managing multiple departments. The posts include evenings and weekends, worked over 40 hours per week. Each Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities.

Duty Manager
Full Time: 40 hours per week

Spiceball Leisure Centre is part of the Cherwell Contract in North Oxfordshire. The Centre is a busy facility which consists of 2x Swimming Pools, Expression Fitness Suite (with functional training area), Sauna and Steam Area, Squash Courts, Double Sports Hall, Crèche, 2x Dance Studios, Meeting Rooms.

We are currently looking for a full-time Duty Manager to join our team. You must be a natural leader who is ambitious, flexible, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills whilst enjoying working as part of a team. The role is varied and you need to be a fast thinker and work well under pressure. You will work on a rota which includes mornings, evenings and weekends and you must have a customer-focused approach.

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid Qualification and Pool Plant Operators qualification are essential to the role as well as previous experience in managing a team and knowledgeable on Health and Safety. The most important thing is that you are a people person who is passionate and comfortable communicating with all ages.

Centre Manager
Exeter – Pyramids Leisure Centre & Northbrook Swimming Pool
Salary: c£27,000

Legacy Leisure operates 8 leisure facilities across Exeter, Devon, on behalf of the City Council and an exciting opportunity has arisen in this fantastic location for a suitable qualified and experienced individual to join the Legacy Leisure team in the South West.

Reporting to the General Manager the successful candidate will be required to take overall responsibility for the effective management and operation of two sites including 2 main pools and a learner pool plus fitness facilities. There will be an emphasis on increasing profitability and consistently enhancing both the financial performance and usage of the facilities within the Contract specification.

Successful candidates should have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management and have extensive knowledge of the safe operation of swimming pools and of the leisure industry in general. Health and Safety and Pool Plant Operation qualifications would be advantageous. Excellent communication and customer and client liaison skills are essential. You should be able to manage and develop staff efficiently to meet the operational requirements of the Contract.

Candidates must have an understanding of financial procedures and be able to manage budgets for the contract whilst consistently developing and improving operational procedures in line with QUEST. Flexibility and commitment to customer service are essential.
