Duty Manager
Riverside Leisure Centre
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Duty Manager looking to develop their career at a high performing leisure centre. Riverside Leisure Centre is a flagship site with a 100 station ‘Expressions’ Gym, 2 group fitness studios, Cycle studio, 2 squash courts and Sports Hall 6 badminton courts.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will have a passion for delivering customer excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial procedures and leading and managing multiple departments. The post includes working on a shift pattern, working over 40 hours per week. Each Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities.
An NPLQ or First Aid at Work certificate is essential and Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.
The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and a good level of experience of working in a very busy wet/dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a total commitment to customer service are essential. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

Woodgreen Leisure Centre is operated by Legacy Leisure on behalf of Cherwell District Council and is situated in Banbury.
This busy site comprises of a 50 station gym, 2 exercise studios, indoor bowls rink, 50m outdoor pool with cafe facilities, slide and aqua splash area. We also share a building with Woodgreen Library.
All employees benefit from complimentary usage of the facilities as part of their employment.

This key role will involve the day-to-day management of the facility, taking full responsibility of the facility at key times and to include health and safety, customer care and cash management responsibilities. The post holder will take a lead role in developing and promoting an exciting and diverse leisure centre to increase the usage and profitability of the facility.

The working hours will be based on a shift pattern, including evenings and weekends over a 40 hour week. The successful candidate will be dynamic, demonstrate problem solving attributes, be able to use their initiative and think on their feet. You will be able to manage a team and ensure the sound operation and safety of your team and customers during your duty shift.

You will be delegated specific areas of responsibility for which you will be accountable, so previous experience in membership sales, leisure/pool operation, or a qualification in fitness are all desirable. Lifeguarding duties will be required during our summer program so an NPLQ is also desirable but full training will be given.

As part of this exciting contract start up in 2019 and developments taking place we are looking to appoint a key member of the team across the contract, the contract is located in Eastern Derbyshire, which includes West Park Leisure Centre, Rutland Sports Park, Victoria Park and Sandiacre Friesland.

We are looking for a dynamic & creative Contract Sales Manager who is commercially astute to join our team. You will work closely with the sales team across the contract as necessary to ensure we retain our existing client base and grow this further. You will have previous experience in a similar role looking at generating leads and business to increase usage and members. You will be responsible for collating accurate and detailed membership information on sales achieved and income generated.

We are keen to talk to candidates who can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years successful sales management experience working within either the private or leisure management sectors. You will be highly motivated and have the ability to lead a team with your presence, personality and strong coaching skills. You will have previous marketing experience and evidence that you are able to generate business leads.

You will need to possess exceptional personable skills and form working relationships with Industry Organisations whilst adhering to our Philosophy of Quality, Care and Excellence. You will be highly organised, hungry for sales and results driven whilst being an effective team leader and team player. 40 Hour Contract

Salary - £8 per hour

Located in a stunning setting in Cardiff Bay this flagship £23m facility opened in January 2008 and has facilities for all the family. The Swimming Pool Complex hosts an International 50m, 10-lane competition pool; This pool incorporates two booms, which when raised can subdivide the area into a 10-lane 25m short-course competition pool along with two additional 25m training pools both with movable floors giving the site unprecedented programmed flexibility.

The venue also boasts spectacular separate Leisure Pool, incorporating a beach area, flumes, space bowl, lazy river and bubble lounger along with a warm up/cool down 25m pool making the complex the largest swimming facility in the UK.

As well as the fantastic swimming facilities there is also a superb Fitness Centre incorporating a 130 Station Gym, Health Suite, Spin Studio, Dance Studio, Brand new state of the art Queenax gym as well as a café area.

Reporting to the Centre Manager the successful candidate will be required to assist with the daily running of the site’s plant rooms, planned preventative maintenance programme and corrective actions.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and have a proven knowledge of all aspects of maintenance requirements. Experience of working in a leisure industry would be advantageous but not essential. The candidate must also be able to clearly identify and meet the requirements of Legacy Leisure customers. As part of their role, the candidate must ensure that Health & Safety regulations are followed at all times.
