The Gym Group is seeking to recruit a Marketing Executive to join its Marketing Team and support on new customer acquisition.

Marketing Executive (Customer Acquisition)

A key member of the Marketing department, and accountable to the Marketing Manager (Customer Acquisition), you will support the team which has responbility for the effectiveness of new customer acquisition.

Supporting on some initiatives whilst leading on others, you will be interfacing with multiple supporting outsourced agencies as well as our network of Regional Managers within our Operations Team.

As Marketing Executive you are primarily accountable for daily marketing portal requests for new marketing material that come in from across our network of over 100 gyms and ensuring all gym launch campaigns (15-20 a year) are delivered through project management, inter-personal skills, communication skills, administration, problem solving and process management.

The role

= Support the execution of the acquisition strategy including ATL and BTL campaigns and offers to deliver membership targets, improving lifetime value of members over time
= To manage the Marketing Portal and the relationship with our printing and creative agencies and ensure accurate delivery of all required materials for our Gyms
= To support the Marketing Manager and manage the day to day delivery and activity involved with all Gym Launches including bespoke leaflets and other media including local radio, newspapers, outdoor where appropriate
= To manage the refit/refurb programme for Gyms including communications and media
= Manage and report performance for the channel(s) you are responsible for both in terms of year on year performance and vs budgets and re-forecasts – providing insight, commentary and action plans to address and performance variances.
= To continually benchmark our activity vs. our competitive set (and the wider market) and feedback to the business (including gym visits)
= Work with our agencies to deliver best in class creative, ensuring consistency, continuous improvement and uphold and grow our brand values
= Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the group, particularly Operational staff with day-to-day P&L accountability (Regional and General Managers)
= Collaborate with Analytics Team and Media Agency to analyse success of our campaigns and recommended adaptation to the campaign calendar accordingly.
= Work closely with colleagues in other teams to align plans, messaging and ensure we provide a consistent customer experience
= Providing admin support for members of the acquisition marketing department

The candidate
This position requires an independent individual who is able to prioritise tasks and use their own initiative along with demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of authority.

Must have
= Experience of working in a similar role
= Solid grounding in marketing with the ability to work unsupervised when needed, with a high level of self-motivation
= Multi-agency account management and stakeholder management skills
= Excellent process & project management skils, preferably across multiple stakeholder groups
= Experience of working in a data rich environment and exploiting that data to make evidence-based decisions that can be explicitly evaluated through targeted tests
= Experience of agency management with good negotiation skills
= Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced and dymanic environment
= Strong oral / written communication, collaboration & influencing skills
= Excellent interpersonal skills

= Experience of Brand management and development within an FMCG environment
= Undergraduate degree and/or marketing qualification
= A personal interest in or affinity to the leisure/fitness sector
= Experience in digital marketing
