About The Role
The Aquarist position at SEA LIFE Minnesota is part of the Displays team. The position will be full time hourly with benefits. This team member will perform the routine husbandry and maintenance required of SEA LIFE’s marine, freshwater, and reptile displays, reporting to the Displays Curator.

Responsibilities:
* Provide daily care of animal exhibits including diet preparation, feeding, general care and maintenance of aquatic displays in accordance with established protocols.
* Assist the displays team with the management and oversight of all husbandry and life support of aquarium systems while ensuring a consistently high standard of animal care and displays presentation throughout all public and behind scenes.
* Maintain and prepare accurate daily records for aquarium systems and exhibit specimens. Interacts with guests, management, veterinarians, and other individuals as required.
* Assist the Senior Displays staff with the husbandry and life support of aquarium systems while ensuring a consistently high standard of animal care.
* Weekly SCUBA diving for exhibit maintenance and target feeding.
* Assist with specimen transports, water quality testing, quarantine, diagnosis and treatment of fish disease.
* Assist in the continual development of the displays areas in line with the long term goals of the company.
* Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive and passionate approach to Guest Service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity.

About You
* A clear history of working with a variety of marine and freshwater species of fish and invertebrates in a professional setting.
* Previous experience with the maintenance and operation of life support systems including sand filters, UV sterilizers and protein skimmers is beneficial.
* Able to identify common fish diseases and experience of treatments

Required Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Biological sciences is beneficial although not required. A clear passion for all things aquatic is the most important credential

Other Requirements:
* Ability to obtain and hold a current First Aid and CPR certification.
* Ability to obtain and hold valid Driver’s License.
* Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
* Must pass a pre-employment placement physical.

About The Role
Create and deliver the strategies for delivering visitor volume and revenue for our dynamic and fast growing global company. As the Trade Sales Coordinator, you will be right in the heart of the magic by building partnerships and networking with local trade partners, corporate partners, tour and travel operators and other pertinent stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Heavy telephone contact with school and daycare programs, hotel concierges, corporate groups, travel and tourism contacts, and shuttle programs
- Implementing strong trade, schools, groups and network marketing strategies
- Deliver visitor volume and revenue with a specific focus on midweek volume to drive revenue targets and spends per head
- Drive sales through advanced ticket purchase, credit accounts, Referral Card scheme or promotional discounts.
- Keeps Marketing Manager and Trade Sales Manager informed of progress toward established sales and revenue goals and of the progress in closing identified prospects.
- Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to guest service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity
- Participates in trade shows when necessary
- Answer incoming calls and make advanced bookings
- Coordinate group arrivals with the operations team

About You
- Experience in group sales, event coordination and marketing preferred.
- The ability to network and influence across the leisure, tourism and business sectors.
- A passionate and driven sales and marketing professional able to influence across all levels.
- Powerful presentation skills and the confidence to represent the business.
- A natural team leader with a confident, assertive but approachable personality.
- Strong computer skills. Ability to utilize standard software applications to include MS Office suite.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary.
- Highly organized, flexible, and willing to complete tasks within deadlines
- Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Desire to work in fast-paced environments.

Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
