Our facilities include the state of the art Technogym equipment in gyms, high quality fitness studios as well as sports halls, squash courts, multi function rooms and a Flow rider.

Go Gateshead is focussed on achieving a vision of operating without a subsidy from Gateshead Council by 2020, delivering high quality facilities and services that meet the demands of our customers.

As well as undertaking a range of cleaning tasks to maintain facilities at established standards you will also ensure customers receive the highest levels of customer service.

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate that you have knowledge of the expectations of customers within a leisure environment.

You must have experience of providing high levels of customer care, whilst knowledge of cleaning operations and undertaking safety checks is desirable.

A variety of hours and shifts are available on a casual basis with an immediate start.

As part of the Go Gateshead Sport and Leisure service review, a new role of Senior Operations Assistant has been created to help ensure our leisure facilities operate effectively and efficiently, standards or customer care and cleanliness are exceptional and customers experience the highest standards of service.

Key duties and responsibilities are set out in the attached job profile. This role will support the management team and provide supervision for the facility team operating on site including Leisure Attendants, Gym Instructors and Cleaning staff.

The team are keen to hear from suitable applicants who have experience of managing pool plant to ensure the highest standards of pool water quality for our customers and hold a Pool Plant Operators Certificate. Are able to follow and implement standard operating procedures for leisure facilities that provide a wide variety of activities for customers.

Applicants will also be able demonstrate competence as a first aider and defibrillator operator holding a valid First Aid at Work certificate and EAD operator qualification and a National Pool Lifeguard qualification in case they are required to provide assistance within the swimming pool.
