Can you handle a fast moving and busy office, manage your own time well and interact with a highly creative team? Then, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for an excellent communicator to work with local communities and develop a programme of sustainable activities to fill the gaps and encourage participation and healthy lifestyle choices in our borough.

You will be supporting a range of active lifestyle projects that help address the council’s corporate priorities to encourage active & healthy lifestyles across the borough, along with;

- Delivery of quality projects in the borough of Ashford maximising opportunity and resource.
- Developing sports and social club initiatives in their delivery and marketing.
- Building community capacity through parishes, community groups and creating community leaders and champions.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have good knowledge of the key issues around public health and successful healthy lifestyles interventions along with having;

- Excellent written and communication skills with an ability to work with a range of partners and have a “can do” approach.
- IT literate and able to manage/update web-based material.
- Experience of successful project management and evaluation.
- Experience of partnership working and bringing people together to deliver a shared aim.
- Experience of designing, planning and delivering successful programmes.
