37.50 hours per week - Monday to Sunday Shift Rota

The creation of a hockey and tennis legacy was a pledge of the London 2012 bid and Lee Valley Leisure Trust is committed to delivering enduring benefits for the sport, capitalising on the opportunities presented from the staging of the world’s greatest sporting festival.

We are looking for a Duty Manager who has venue experience, can manage staff and has an understanding of setting and developing sporting programmes.

With responsibility for the day-to-day running of the venue, your ultimate aim is to provide a first class customer experience for our visitors.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• To assist the Centre Manager with ensuring the effective, efficient and safe operation of the venue and achieving agreed targets and objectives.
• To assist the Centre Manager with developing the facilities and its programme in line with corporate objectives.

• To have overall shift responsibility for the venue, being flexible to work hours is essential, especially availability at weekends, during events and call outs.
• To ensure a quality customer service is provided and that a cost-effective and safe standard of operations (i.e Health and Safety, Cleanliness, Tidiness, Customer Care, Programme Delivery, Maintenance, Equipment) is achieved at all times.

• Areas of responsibilities will be split and allocated to each Duty Manager. Whilst these responsibilities are important, providing a quality customer service is paramount and Duty Managers will need to be involved in all operational and event areas, not just their allocated area of responsibilities.
• We are looking for an experienced individual who is competent and has the experience of managing staff, contractors and customers and can present the venue to a high standard.

Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau, for which assistance will be given.

If you have the determination and talent it takes to make this venue truly world-class, we’d love to hear from you.
