Nestled in the heart of our forest you will find the centrepiece of Center Parcs, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Open from 10 am to 9 pm daily the huge pool area includes a toddler pool, wave pool, whirlpool and exciting flumes as well as the wild water rapids. Swimming lessons are available for all ages with qualified instructors. There are many activities available from learning to Snorkel, Scuba Diving and Aqua jets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are running a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course in order to expand our team.

The NPLQ course will include classroom sessions on the responsibilities of being a Lifeguard, how to observe our pool guests, how to rescue those in need and administer first aid and CPR.

An offer of employment is subject to the successful completion and award of the qualification. Although there will be no fee to attend the course, a training agreement will be completed upon commencement for successful candidates. Please note that you will not be paid to attend the course.

Please note that you will need to be available to attend the course commencing on Monday 19 March 2018 to Friday 23 March 2018 from 8 am to 4.30pm each day.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicants who are offered employment will be required to apply for disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB). This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

-You must be at least 16 years of age at the time you undertake the NPLQ Course
-You must be able to jump/dive into deep water
-You must be able to swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
-You must be able to swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
-You must be able to tread water for 30 seconds
-You must be able to surface dive to the floor of the pool
-You must be able to climb out of the pool unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for qualified, highly professional and ambitious Beauty Therapists to join our award-winning Health and Beauty spa. Here, you will join like-minded colleagues providing an extensive range of treatments and therapies to our guests in the most beautiful of settings.

Benefiting from innovative treatment partners, you will work with some of the best products in the industry, including Elemis, Decléor, Bliss and many others. Regular training and beauty brand updates will be provided, so this could also prove to be a unique opportunity for you too.

Using your knowledge, you will assist our guests to select the perfect items from our comprehensive retail offering so excellent communication skills will be required.

HOURS OF WORK

We have various part-time contracts available between 40 and 128 hours per 4 week period, working on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

You will be required to work 8-hour shifts, with working hours falling between 9.45am and 8.15pm Monday through to Sunday. You will, therefore, be required to work a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts which will include some public/bank holidays on a rota basis. You will be required to work 2.5 weekends in 4.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

-NVQ Level 2 and 3, IHBC City and Guilds, CIDESCO or equivalent qualification
-At least 1 years work experience in a salon or 6 months within a spa environment
-Good standard of general education

Desirable requirements:

-Reflexology qualification
-Hopi Ear Candle trained
-Product training on Elemis, Decléor, or other products houses

ABOUT THE ROLE

A Lifeguard is the main point of contact for our guests in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. You will demonstrate just the right mix of welcoming our guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety necessary in the pool environment. As the face of Center Parcs you will make a great lasting impression on our guests, impressing them with your professionalism and guest care skills.

You will be a friendly, naturally helpful and vigilant team member who naturally seeks out opportunities to ensure the guests' requirements are met. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and ensure that all company and legal requirements are met at all times.
