YMCA Fylde Coast is a leading sport and physical activity provider across the North West region, whose mission is to change and enhance lives within the communities we work. We are seeking a highly motivated Coaching Professional to enhance the delivery of our ‘Your Move’ Community Sports and Physical Activity Sessions.

If you are looking for a meaningful job, a caring, progressive work environment and an opportunity to reach your fullest potential, consider a career with the YMCA.

We are seeking individuals who are inspired by playing an important role in changing people’s lives and therefore communities. We are all about creating inspirational pathways and opportunities, opening doors and welcoming all to get involved and make a positive difference. Working with us means helping children, youth, adults and seniors at all levels of ability, from all walks of life, to develop their self esteem and potential in new ways.

The main focus of the role will be to assist the ‘Your Move’ Programme, developing new and existing opportunities for participation in sport and physical activity in a wide range of community settings involving direct work with public and private sector delivery partners, with the aim of sustaining provision and growing participation in the Fylde and Wyre area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing a programme of activities that promotes participation in sport and physical activity, targeting those who do not currently take part in regular sporting activity.
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of the planning and delivery of the ‘Your Move’ project, including leading and attending sports sessions. Deliver sport sessions and work with local sports clubs and specialist coaches to offer a broad range of community sporting activities over a seven day period.
- Continually consult with participants on physical activity and sports delivery, identifying, responding and adapting service delivery.
- Seek to develop a network of community volunteers in partnership with County Sports Partnership and National Governing Bodies of Sport.
- Work in partnership with other Sport Activators to ensure a comprehensive, effective and co-ordinated programme of community sport activities in the Fylde and Wyre Area.

You should possess previous experience of working within the field of sport and/or physical activity. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.

In return, you will be joining an organisation that is committed to the personal development of staff and operates a collaborative and supportive style of management.

For an application pack on the above role, please send us your details and we will get in touch.

Closing date for the role is Friday 18th August. Interviews are anticipated to take place w/c Monday 28th August
