The Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Weight Training is for Instructors/Personal Trainers who have some experience of delivering independent sessions to groups or individuals. The certificate enables instructors to independently create, deliver and reflect on a yearlong programme whilst monitoring and adapting sessions/plans as required.

Parts of the course are made up of practical activities allowing instructors the opportunity to experience delivering and participating within instructing sessions.

What are the requirements to go on the course?

Learners are required to:
- Have completed one of the following qualifications: Level 2 Award in Instructing Weight Lifting, a Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification or equivalent as recognised by BWL

The National Pool Plant Operator Certificate is our primary course. It covers everything you need to effectively maintain a swimming pool, spa or water feature.

This course is approved by the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG). This means that our training is of the highest standard, meeting PWTAG guidelines which are widely viewed as best practice.

You will learn about circulation, filtration, disinfection, pH correction and heating of pool water. You will also learn how to maintain water which is safe and pleasant to swim in, how to correctly test pool water and understand how to restore it to ideal conditions.

The National Pool Plant Operator Certificate lasts for three years.

Level: Intermediate – although no prior certificate is needed to attend the course, beginners are advised to complete the National Pool Plant Foundation Certificate first

What will the role involve?

Across the 12 month apprenticeship you will gain a:

•Level 2 Gym Fitness Instructor Certificate
•Level 2 Certificate in Leisure Operations
•Added CPD course (Studio Cycle / Circuit Training / Exercise To Music)

Within your apprenticeship, you will work closely with experienced instructors within the gym to deliver Everyone Active Inductions, Personal Goal Setting Sessions and group training. You will gain first-hand experience and skills around working with clients who have specific fitness goals and how to interact with all clients on the gym floor, to ensure they have a positive experience and continue to be active.

Everyone Active is leading the way in how technology is becoming increasingly used in all our centres. You will learn how we encourage our customers to utilize these online products and services to maintain and measure their own activity levels. All of this experience and skills development will be within your structured 12-month apprenticeship programme and linked to the nationally recognized standards.

Your day to day duties will consist of working to ensure the full operations of a Leisure Centre and maintaining all of the required set standards across the organisation. You will be given specific training within these areas which, understanding and competence will be needed to be shown and linked to your main qualifications. Competence training is completed monthly to ensure all pool safety standards are kept up to date.
