Student Central
Previously known as ULU, the Student Central is the federal student services centre for the University of London (UoL). The building and staff provide activities and an entertainment centre for all London students in the form of our three bars, food, café, live gigs, club nights, shops and more.

The Role
The University of London is now looking to appoint a Lifeguard to join their Student Central team.

As a Lifeguard you will be responsible for supervising the security and safety of all users ensuring their satisfaction in all areas of the facility and carrying out rescues as required. Your role will be to assist the Energybase Manager and Duty Managers in the preparation and activities of Student Central in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring a high quality of service is provided to pool users and visitors.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

To succeed in this role you must have previous experience working as a Lifeguard and knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures. You will have excellent communication skills, a calm and approachable manner when dealing with the public and the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. The successful applicant must also be NPLQ qualified.

Please note you will be required to work the following weekend shifts: Saturday 15:00 – 21:30 and Sunday 15:00 – 21:30.
