About you
You will have strong influencing skills and enjoy challenging situations whilst working in a fast paced environment.

You will need an in-depth understanding and experience of the modern leisure industry including management experience in the areas of aquatics, fitness or leisure centre operations.

Along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing staff in a similar customer facing role you will be required to have an HND or higher diploma in relevant profession, or equivalent experience/skills, minimum Level 3 in management or equivalent experience.

Relocation packages are available subject to meeting our moving home allowance criteria.

Marlborough Leisure Centre is looking for a qualified Swimming Teacher to join our lively and friendly team.

LIVE - WORK - TEACH

We provide a high standard of coaching within a 50 week Swim school, term time School Swimming programme or 1-1 tuition environments

About the role
The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for teaching safe, fun, effective and enjoyable classes, consistent with standards set out within our normal operating procedures.

Key responsibilities include planning sessions in line within guidance and industry standards with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming or schools' curriculum.

On a weekly basis we need cover for holidays and or sickness at short notice where required.

About you
With a level 2 or above ASA swimming teacher qualification or equivalent, you should have experience of teaching children within a leisure environment. Those who do not hold a level 2 or above ASA swimming teacher qualification may be considered for the post as the qualification/full training can be provided.

You will have awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and be able use your excellent communication and organisational skills to maintain customer focus. You will also be responsible for maintaining all relevant qualifications and attending training sessions as part of normal working arrangements.

Devizes Leisure Centre is looking for enthusiastic qualified Class Instructors for casual cover at our Leisure Centre.

LIVE - WORK - SUPPORT

We currently provide a structured, dynamic exercise programme which varies in terms of class/day/activity in order to satisfy as many different needs of our customers.

About the role
You’ll be responsible for teaching safe, fun, and effective exercise classes, consistent with standards set out within our normal operating procedures.

As Class Instructor, you will maintain excellent customer focus at all times, meeting customer expectations and therefore ensuring repeat business. This will include being available to the customers both before and after the sessions to answer queries, motivate and guide.

The basic rate of pay for this position is £11.74 per hour pro rata. In addition, there are supplements and incentive payments available. Full details will be given at interview.

All of the above may also be eligible for unsocial hours supplements if during late evenings or with Sunday working. Holiday and sickness pay is also included for this position as is a generous pension scheme.

About you
You should possess a valid qualification in specialist activity recognised by the governing professional body or specific group fitness class qualifications such as Zumba, Studio Cycling, Circuits, Pilates, Yoga or Aquafit as well as a Les Mills BTS.

Excellent communication skills are key to the success of this role, along with the experience of customer care within a Leisure environment.

At Devizes Leisure Centre we are currently recruiting for Pool Lifeguards to join our friendly and sociable team. About the role
Our Lifeguards proactively safeguard the activities taking part in and around our swimming areas whilst enabling and delivering the safe and effective operations of the leisure centre.

You will also be expected to lifeguard pool sessions, ensure the setting up and taking down of equipment is carried out, plus general cleaning tasks and maintenance/building checks.

About you
Along with a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent, you should have experience in delivering First Aid to casualties and assist in managing incidents, and have general knowledge of Leisure Centre operations and activities.

You will need to have an awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and be customer focussed with excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic approach and give a positive and professional image at all times.

All Pool Lifeguards must attend staff training programmes as required which may fall outside of the working shift pattern. This includes NPLQ as well as additional training sessions, in-line with the job role.

Those who do not hold an NPLQ or equivalent qualification may be considered for this post, however, the qualification must be attained within 3 months of starting.
