Deputy Leisure Services Manager

With up to 200 indoor and outdoor activities on offer across the village, our Leisure Services division is core to our customer proposition and key to helping us deliver a quality experience that keeps our guests returning, again and again. From the time our guests arrive to the minute they leave, we want them to enjoy every moment of their stay…and your role will be central to the process.

Reporting to, deputising for and working closely with the Leisure Services Manager, you’ll support every aspect involved with the commercial management and day to day operational activities of the division, ensuring we provide our guests with great memories, whatever their age or abilities. With a focus on excellence in service delivery, the achievement of financial targets and the development of business opportunities (and colleagues alike), you’ll also agree and enjoy specific responsibilities that will underpin and help fulfil wider divisional targets and objectives.

As you can imagine, this is a key leadership role, requiring a Leisure Industry professional with at least three years relevant experience in a similar operational management capacity, who has a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team. Already an excellent communicator, relationship builder and organiser, you should also have a fair degree of commercial know-how, including a good grasp of budgetary and financial controls. In addition, a leisure management qualification or willingness to work towards one, would be welcome.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for delivering the Center Parcs Football Programme for children 18 months and over. You will coach and supervise the guests in a manner that allows them to have great fun whilst feeling safe and secure. You will be a dynamic, outgoing, friendly and confident people person and, your engagement with our guests will enrich their holiday experience.

Your main duties will include:

-Ensuring a safe delivery and environment for allocated activities whilst building a friendly rapport with all guests and colleagues.
-Actively providing feedback/ideas to help develop the Center Parcs Soccer Coaching programme as a brand through regular F.A. updates or practical experience.
-Maintaining and storing the equipment on site, ensuring all safety checks and cleaning requirements are carried out in accordance with Company guidelines.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to apply for disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB). This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 90 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

You will be required to work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm 3 days a week and alternate weekends. You will also be required to work public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

-FA Level 2
-First Aid at Work qualification
-A minimum 2 years Football Coaching experience of supervising and delivering child coaching sessions
-Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with both adults and children
-Able to work as part of team

Desirable requirements:

-Sports Coach UK levels 1-4
-FA Level 3 or 4
-Previous work experience delivering and coaching multisports

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for Lifeguards to join our team at Woburn Forest.

A Lifeguard is the main point of contact for our guests in the Subtropical swimming Paradise. You will demonstrate just the right mix of welcoming our guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety necessary in the pool environment. As the face of Center Parcs you will make a great lasting impression on our guests, impressing them with your professionalism and guest care skills.

You will be a friendly, helpful and vigilant team member who naturally seeks out opportunities to ensure the guests' requirements are met. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and ensure that all company and legal requirements are met at all times.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit an outgoing and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to run a range of Center Parcs family activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, ensuring the smooth running and delivery of the activities, creating memories for our guests that will last a lifetime. The successful candidate will have a naturally outgoing personality and enjoy working as part of a team to deliver interesting, entertaining and challenging activities whilst providing a high standard of guest and child care within a safe environment.

Other responsibilities will be to ensure that our activities are as immersive as possible - certain sessions will involve you wearing a costume! The age ranges of the guests you will be delivering our activities to range from 12 months old to adults.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Cycle Centre Mechanic, you will work in conjunction with the Cycle centre management team ensure the smooth running of the Cycle Centre, provide and maintain a high standard of service to guests in line with departmental operating procedures.

To be accountable for checking the cycle attendant pre-hire safety checks, this includes an audit of the pre-hire safety checking system is to the required standard.

In addition, you will be responsible for completing the opening and closing checklist and carry out standard 2 hourly checks to ensure the department is kept at a high standard at all times.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

Typical shifts are 8 hours long and will fall between the hours of 7am and 8:30pm Monday and Friday and 8am and 5:30pm on other days including weekends. You will also be required to work public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

-NVQ Level 2 Cytec or equivalent qualification
