Job description:
We are Chessington World of Adventures Resort and we are part of the magical Merlin Entertainments!

We are currently recruiting for a Rides and Attractions Area Manager. In this role you will recruit, lead and develop a small team of three Assistant Area Managers and a seasonal team of around 80 ride hosts and operators working across a range of family themed rides and attractions. Acting as department duty manager and support park manager you will play a crucial part in delivering memorable experiences for our guests. With Health & Safety your number 1 priority, a typical day will involve, motivating your team and communicating key messages for the day’s operation, this will also include daily assessments of front line staff performance and job delivery. You will be actively supporting your team and so a hands on approach is essential to understand the needs of our guests. The role will include supporting the objectives of the Rides & Attractions Manager.

We are looking for the following skills and experience;
- An experienced operator with sound knowledge of managing a large diverse team.
- An understanding of Chessington’s unique Resort position, product offering and the expectation of our guests.
- A flexible communication style and keen eye for detail and ideally will come from a similarly fast paced environment.
- Looking to progress your career within Merlin and this could be the opportunity for you to really get your teeth stuck in and shine.
- A good understanding of our Key KPI’s and already have ideas of how you could improve our performance and drive customer excellence.
- This role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends and bank holidays as required.
