The garden is currently going through an exciting change programme of £60m+ capital investment which will create world class welcome buildings, catering facilities and a Centre for Horticultural Science and Learning which will establish RHS Garden Wisley as the premier horticultural visitor destination in the UK.

As of Head of Site you will be responsible for leading a team of site managers and ensuring the smooth operation of the garden, delivering an excellent visitor experience through imaginative delivery of service, interpretation, events and engagement. The position will be both challenging and rewarding and we are looking for an exceptional leader to become the driving force behind continued operational and commercial success of the garden. You will have one eye firmly on the day to day but will be also adept at planning and delivering the future.

To be successful in the role you will have:
• a motivational leadership style
• a “can do” attitude
• experience in working with visitors in a similar or related environment
• worked within a senior management team on strategic planning
• a wealth of ideas for attracting and delighting visitors of all ages and backgrounds
• a keen interest in horticulture
• experience of working on HLF funded projects would be an advantage

Following the award by the London Borough of Hounslow for the delivery of a National Standard Cycle Training Scheme to schools throughout the borough, Parkwood Outdoors is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join and lead the team of Bikeability Instructors.

As the Cycle Training Manager you will help achieve the vision of doubling the cycling participation in The London Borough of Hounslow by 2026.

Your key responsibilities will be;

The successful delivery of Bikeability, Balanceability and various other cycling programmes.

Establishing strong working relationships with the Primary schools within the London Borough of Hounslow

Handling course paperwork including risk assessments, registers and consent forms
Safety and welfare of both colleagues and trainees

Correct and timely reporting of course numbers and awarded individuals

To ensure all training is delivered to the highest standards in compliance with both National Standards and company policy

The successful candidate will also be required to co-ordinate all aspects of the cycling programme ensuring all cyclists are safe and enjoy their experience. Candidates will be passionate about cycling, with ideally the appropriate cycling qualification, although training can be provided for the right candidate. Experience in coordinating a team of staff using a positive leadership style is essential and you will be a confident communicator who can deal with children and adults at all levels.

An enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
