Job description:
GLL College is looking for a Skills Developer to support the expanding college agenda with training delivery across Better leisure centres in our West Region which includes Swindon, Oxfordshire and Reading. GLL College is the training arm of GLL, leading on internal training, funded provision including apprenticeships and commercial training. Our training programmes have won external awards and at present we are the only leisure provider in the sector to hold Main Provider status for apprenticeships with the government (ESFA).

As a Skills Developer, you'll be responsible for delivering internal training to our workforce across the West Region and supporting GLL College in delivery and coordination of training and assessment to GLL's apprenticeship programmes and commercial courses that are provided to the general public and other businesses. Reporting to the College's Development Manager and National Apprenticeship Manager, you will ensure learning targets, programmed activity and commercial targets are met in line with the GLL College KPIs.

With the exciting growth of the GLL College, you will have the opportunity to really influence how this role will develop and evolve. You'll spend time developing and implementing systems and processes within set time frames to enable the College provision to operate and deliver quality training programmes both within the West Region and on a national basis.

You'll have accredited and recognised teaching and assessing qualifications, and ideally have achieved (or be working towards) a level 3 or above management qualification. You'll have experience of delivering and assessing quality training including funded apprenticeship programmes, ideally within an active leisure environment. Excellent communication skills are key, as you'll build relationships with a variety of staff and external partners such as our preferred training providers, awarding organisations and external apprenticeship departments.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Pension schemes
- Childcare vouchers
- Ride to work scheme
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development

If you want the opportunity to influence the apprenticeship journey and develop yourself as the college programme further grows and expands then apply now.

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.

To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
