This role is particularly suitable for someone who wants to develop and secure their skills and take the next step in a career pathway towards a more senior management position within Halo Leisure.

The role will place a strong focus on ensuring returns to facility investment programmes, drive membership revenue and offer an exciting enhanced level of customer service.

You will also focus closely on delivering the highest operational standards, spending part of the time actively on shift, driving service quality as well as providing first-class leadership and development opportunities to the onsite teams.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual looking to progress their career into management. You will oversee the centre operation and support the management team and in addition, you’ll be involved in the numerous activities and programmes on offer.

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre, and will be trained to demonstrate full competence in the following areas; financial reporting, processes and procedures, HR policies and procedures, operational monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, and customer service, sales and marketing. You will also be expected to carry out lifeguarding duties.

You will need to be passionate about health, fitness and delivering excellent customer service. Previous experience in managing staff in a leisure environment and knowledge of the fitness, leisure or health industries is advantageous. Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a degree in Sports or similar and a First Aid at Work qualification is desirable, however, training will be provided.

Casual workers required on an ad hoc basis with no guaranteed hours of work. Various hours include days, evenings and weekends.

We currently have casual hours at all our sites for Level 1 and Level 2 Swimming Teachers, helping to deliver our Swimming Academy lessons, to both children and adults.

Duties will include:
* Teaching swimming to the ASA standard for children and adults.
* Keeping records of the learners achievements via handheld devices.
* Responsible for maintaining a safe environment at all times, following health and safety guidance.

You must hold an ASA Teachers Certificate or STA Level 1 or 2 qualification, demonstrate excellent communication skills, work as part of a team and be professional, passionate and inspiring at delivering our swimming programme. It would be desirable, but not essential if you have a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and First Aid certificate
