Job description:
Entry into the fitness industry can be tough and expensive, many wanting to gain entry spend thousands on qualifications but lack experience.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an apprentice in fitness at the brand new Gym that is énergie Fitness, your training in fitness will be paid for as part of the role.

As an apprentice within our gym, you will develop your fitness skills and experience, you will be encouraged to participate in group fitness sessions and build up to running your own classes. Training will accompany your own apprenticeship specific learning.

In addition you will also provide high levels of customer service to all clients and prospects, there will be a requirement for you to be involved in all aspects of gym operations including maintenance, health & safety, lead generation, prospecting and operation of the Host area.

Applicants who can demonstrate their passion for health and fitness are welcome to apply. We will be employing a candidate with exceptional levels of communication skills. It is expected that you have the ability to work within the team, to be independent in your daily tasks and to use your initiative when it comes to club operations and member experience. At all times an apprentice will be expected to behave in a professional manner and a member of the team.

Applicants should have GCSE English and Science grade C and above and be actively engaged in fitness themselves. It will be expected that applicants will work in club and on location.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Be totally responsible for the front of house operation making sure it runs like clockwork and we always create the right first impression
• Constantly be the authoritative voice of the customer across the business

• Make it your mission to find out what members want and need and provide it – make them a coffee – charge their phone – phone the garage ….. do whatever it takes!

• Consistently track the Member Engagement scores and take personal responsibility for improving them

• Ensure you deliver a “Warm Welcome” to everyone who walks through the door which makes them feel you/we are always delighted to see them

• Greet everyone with a big smile, say hello and make it your job to make their day

• Engage with members on a daily basis with energy and commitment

• Befriend and support members of all ages and backgrounds

• Provide solutions to everyday problems but also fix them for the future

• Energise and support other team members to help build great atmosphere

• Surprise members with new innovations on a regular basis

• Continually review the member services and look for ways to make them even better

• Monitor customer feedback and view complaints as a gift and a source of improvement

• Communicate member issues and recommendations for improvements to the Club Manager on a regular basis

• Do whatever it takes to delight the customer but ALWAYS play by the rules when it comes to Health and Safety and meeting our Legal obligations
