ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit an outgoing, enthusiastic Team Leader to join the Activity Den team.

The successful candidate will assist the Activity Den Management Team in ensuring the smooth running of The Activity Den, and will also assist in overseeing the General Activities departments other associated cost centres including Children’s and Adult activities, Sports activities and the Nature programme. To deputise in the absence of an Assistant Manager as deemed necessary for the business.

To maintain a high standard of guest care and set high standards in building management and motivates and develop team members. To drive and develop demand and further opportunities to enhance the commercial management

Responsibilities include day-to-day supervision of all activities, equipment maintenance, monitoring staff attendance, rota management and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to apply for disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB). This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

You will be required to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 8am and 9pm including weekends and public/bank holidays on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:
- Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent
- Supervisory experience in managing team and volume activities
- Good basic general education
- Computer literacy including Elite
- Naturally cheerful
- Strong communication skills

Desirable requirements:
- Previous work experience of Leisure departments would be advantageous
- Previous team leadership experience or qualifications
