START A CAREER IN SWIM TEACHING WITH AN EVERYONE ACTIVE APPRENTICESHIP

The 12-month Level 2 Intermediate Coaching Learn to Swim Apprenticeship Framework is designed for those individuals wishing to pursue a career in the leisure industry through a teaching route; it is entirely work-based and work-related. The swimming programme gives you a wide range of knowledge and experience, and most importantly the qualifications to help you develop a career in the leisure industry. At the end of this apprenticeship, you will be a fully qualified swimming teacher, with the ability to teach lessons to groups of swimmers from beginners to experienced, children to adults.

Qualifications gained during this apprenticeship include:

• Swim England Level 2 Diploma in Coaching Learn to Swim
• Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
• Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching)
• Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher
• Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)

Apprenticeship duration:

• 12-months. On successfully completing your Apprenticeship Everyone Active would expect to be able to offer you continued employment and development opportunities.

To be eligible for this programme you must:

• You must be aged 16 or above
• You must not be in full-time education
• You must be eligible to work in England
• You must be willing to sign up for our Apprentice scheme for 12 months

North Solihull Sports Centre are seeking a Full Time Lifeguard.

We require individuals who are self-motivated and have high standards. With good time management and the ability to use initiative, the successful applicants will have energy and enthusiasm.

The role of a lifeguard requires an enthusiastic, responsible and hardworking individual to supervise a wide variety of swimming sessions, maintain the centres’ high standards of cleanliness and assist with general day to day operations. Our lifeguards are on hand to ensure our members are having a great time using our facilities whilst overseeing their poolside safety at all times.

The successful Lifeguard will have:
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Have previous experience of working in the Leisure Industry- this is not essential.
The ability to work proactively and flexibly within the team and work on own initiative.
Excellent communication skills
Experience of dealing with a range of customer queries/concerns in a professional manner.
Be willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

This position requires a DBS disclosure and the ideal candidate must hold a valid NPLQ certificate, have excellent communications skills and have a high level of customer service. .
