Swimming pool company Astral Pools created a splash at Leisure Industry Week in Birmingham on 20-22 September when it built and filled a temporary swimming pool structure on its stand.

The pool, its Sky Pool concept, was 8m long by 4m wide and 1.2m deep.

Holding 32,000 litres of water, the pool took two and a half days to construct prior to the show and was heated to 27 degrees ready for the opening last Tuesday.

Swimmers Steve Parry and Karen Pickering both took the plunge in the pool during the show.
