Bliss Spa crosses the pond
New York's luxurious Bliss Spa crosses the Atlantic this month, with the opening in London of its first international outlet.
BlissLondon, a 4,000sq ft facility located in Sloane Avenue, will follow the New York blueprint for a modern, funky, stress-free day spa, 'making it easier to find bliss'.
The wide range of face and body therapies will include the company's renowned triple oxygen facial, ginger rub body treatment, hot milk and almond pedicure, and microdermabrasion (crystal clearing) facial.
The opening of the new spa will coincide with the launch of a number of Bliss retail ranges, including BlissLabs, a home spa collection, Laboratoire Remede, an 'uber-deluxe' skincare line, Diamond Cell, foot and nail files with industrial scale diamonds, and Poetic Cosmetics, home waxing and eyebrow shaping kits.
Bliss is the brainchild of Marcia Kilgore, who launched the first site in New York's Soho area in 1996, followed by Bliss57 on 57th street in 1999. After the London expansion, Kilgore plans to open a spa on America's west coast, as well as establishing a chain of nailbars, QuickBliss, across the States. Details: +44 (0)20 7584 3888
