Blue Knights withdraw Rangers interest
Administrators acting on behalf of Glasgow Rangers Football Club have confirmed that the Blue Knights consortium has withdrawn from discussions over a possible acquisition of the club.
Joint administrator David Whitehouse said the decision was "disappointing" in light of the fact that the consortium's indicative bid with Ticketus had been seen as a "strong" one.
According to the BBC, the Blue Knights' withdrawal came after it learned of talks between Ticketus and a rival Singapore-based bid that had resulted in a "substantially better" offer.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth Football Club joint administrator Trevor Birch has revealed that "no offers have been received to date" for the npower Championship club.
A report has been made available to the club's creditors ahead of a meeting on 26 April and Birch said efforts will continue in order to secure a new owner before it runs out of cash.
