Breast-feeding cuts level of obesity in children

Researchers at Bristol University have revealed that breast-fed babies are less likely to be obese children. Nutritionists delivered their findings to the British Dietetic Association's conference last week after monitoring 8,000 children in the Bristol area. Of those monitored in the Children of the 90s study, 6.5 per cent of children who had been breast-fed were obese at seven years old, compared with 9.7 per cent of babies who were bottle-fed.
