Cannons Group has announced its latest sports club partnership deal with South Hampstead Cricket Club with plans to build a £2.6m health club in Brondesbury Park, London.

The partnership will allow Cannons to construct a 27,000sq. ft health and fitness club, while giving the cricket club the opportunity invest revenue generated from the deal into upgrading its own facilities.

Brondesbury Park is the second partnership of it's kind for Cannons this year, following the opening of a new club in Cheam in spring 2001. Working with local sports organisations is a win-win situation for both parties, said Cannons development director Chris Golta. South Hampstead Cricket Club approached us with this latest opportunity, and there is no doubt that we will be securing more of these agreements in the future.

The new club in Brondesbury Park is opening in February 2002, and will include a 20m swimming pool, fully equipped gym, spa pool and sauna as well as relaxation and beauty treatment facilities.

There are currently 42 Cannons Health Clubs in the UK and the Netherlands, and the group is planning to increase this to 120 clubs by the end of 2006.
