Contours Express Ladies Fitness and Weight Loss Studios has recruited two franchisees to open facilities by the end of the year.

A former member of a women’s-only gym, Sue Arrowsmith, plans to open a Contours studio in Aldridge, West Midlands, by the end of the summer, while Saheeda Talib’s site in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire is due to open by the end of the year.

Talib said she decided to open her own facility after failing to find a ladies-only health club in the local area.

“I had been looking for somewhere to work out where there is a female-only zone and discovered to my astonishment that there was no such facility in High Wycombe,” she said.

Contours Express is perfect as it’s fast, effective and fun. You can burn up to 600 calories in half an hour! What more could us women ask for?”

The US-based fitness concept entered the UK market in August 2004.
