Disneyland designer to share knowledge with students
A top Disneyland Paris designer will be visiting the University of Lincoln this week, giving students the opportunity to get advice and experience for their future careers.
Barbara Whiteman, a senior designer for Imagineering, will spend three days at the university following an invite from the institution’s Museum and Exhibition Design team.
Imagineering is the design arm of the Walt Disney Company and is responsible for the creation of all Disney resorts, theme parks and attractions.
During the three-day master class, students will be working on a project set by the visiting designer. The final pieces of work will then be presented on the final day of the event.
Pam Locker, senior lecturer at the Lincoln School of Architecture said the event is a perfect example of a relationship that benefits both the university and the company taking part. “We are extremely lucky to have such a good affiliation with Disneyland Paris as this is a marvellous opportunity for our students,” she said.
