The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) is to undergo an operational restructure following its Strategic Review, Creating a Larger Footprint, conducted in 2003.

The review outlined three core areas of activity; government relations, media communications and best practice.

The FIA’s operational structure will be altered to ensure that maximum resources are allocated to these core areas and the FIA continues to effectively represent the industry.

Nigel Wallace, executive director of the FIA said: “It’s essential for all organisations to continue their development. To meet the performance criteria in the new strategy, it’s essential that the FIA structure is altered.

“This will ensure that the FIA continues to be productive and exceeds the needs and expectations of its members.”
