Matrix Fitness promotes Gemma Bonnett to director of strategic marketing for UK and EMEA
Matrix Fitness has elevated UK head of marketing Gemma Bonnett to the new role of director of strategic marketing for UK and EMEA.
Following a strong period of sales in the UK, Matrix is eager to enhance its position in the EMEA region, with brand consistency and added value offerings a key part of this. The promotion sees Bonnett tasked with directing this development and replicating the brand’s UK success across the wider market.
"It is a challenge that the company is now ready for and one that will further strengthen our positioning in the EMEA region,” said Bonnett.
“Having been in the fitness industry for more than 15 years, I am very proud to be offered this opportunity to continue making significant steps to developing the Matrix brand.”
Having started her career as a gym manager, Bonnett later joined Huntingdonshire District Council, where she spent four years in the role as a brand manager. She left in 2009 to become One Leisure marketing manager, before making the switch to the supply side in 2013 as Matrix UK head of marketing.
