Gulliver’s Kingdom invests £4m in attractions, jobs
Gulliver’s Kingdom, the Warrington, UK-based children’s theme park firm, is to invest £4m into creating new attractions and jobs.
The family-owned company, which has sites in Warrington, Matlock Bath and Milton Keynes, said that despite the financial crisis, the attractions industry is still going strong.
Managing director Julie Dalton, said: "These are long-standing investments in the company, and we believe that because we have offered good value for money for so many years, we are well placed to continued to do well during the recession. The leisure sector is still a strong industry, despite the economic downturn.”
The company’s Warrington park will receive a new Splashzone attraction and an indoor play centre, as well as 30 full-time and 120 seasonal jobs. Milton Keynes will receive a new dinosaur and farm park and will add 120 jobs.
Matlock Bath will see new 100 jobs created and also receive a dinosaur attraction.
