Lifetime has launched a new home study course for personal training.

The Diploma in Personal Training at NVQ level 3 is geared towards individuals who have full time employment and find it difficult to take extended time off work to retrain or enhance current skills.

The comprehensive package includes interactive CDs, user friendly workbooks and practical taught components, said Lifetime’s training director, Nick Cutland.

“Our training CDs really take the classroom into a home, with revolutionary features such as moveable primal pictures of the body’s muscles and bones to clearly demonstrate physical activity, and interactive quizzes to track knowledge levels,” he said.

“The highly visual home study workbooks have been completely redesigned to ensure they are easy to use and appealing to candidates who may not have studied for a number of years.”

For candidates who are already at NVQ level 2, the course components include Exercise and Fitness Knowledge (NVQ level 3), Nutrition, Business Skills, Client Appraisal and Advance Programming (practical workshop).

“The home study element of the course can be completed at times to suit the student's life, which is proving very popular with people who are looking for a career change or who are already working full time in the industry,” said Cutland.
