LA Fitness has appointed Mark Byard as human resources director and Anna-Marie Mason as divisional director for London and the south of England.

Based in London, Byard joined the company last year as one of two divisional directors with responsibility for sales and operations delivery for the southern-half of the LA Fitness network.

His new role will centre around retaining key industry talent, building leadership capabilities and developing company culture, with specific focus on internal relations among employees.

Meanwhile, Mason will look to oversee the sales and marketing operations of 27 LA Fitness clubs in her new role as divisional director for the south of England.

Eight regional and assistant regional managers will report directly to Mason who has joined the company from brewer Holsten UK where she was operations director.
