LivingWell Health Clubs is piloting a massage therapy treatment at two of its UK clubs from June. LivingWell is claiming to be the first non-independent operator to introduce Hydrotherm to its members, using pillows of warm water for a stress-relieving massage. The Hydrotherm Massage System is performed with the client lying on their back on the pillows, making it an effective treatment for immobile or pregnant clients. Particular benefits include relief from stress-related symptoms, alleviation of back problems, and relief of aches relating to pregnancy. LivingWell operations director, Arthur McColl, says Hydrotherm will bring added member value through innovation. Hydrotherm is being piloted at the Newcraighall and Peterborough Premier clubs and will be rolled out to targeted Premier clubs if it proves successful.
