Julia Bracewell has been announced as the new chair of sportscotland.

Bracewell’s term will run for four years and began on 1 July 2005.

A legal consultant and non-practising barrister, Julia represented Scotland in fencing at international level, winning bronze medals in the 1986 and 1990 Commonwealth Championships. She also represented Great Britain at the Barcelona Olympics, the World Championships and the European Championships. Details: www.sportscotland.org.uk
