Ten children from Craigie Park Nursery in Perth, all aged 3-4 years, recently visited Perth and Kinross Leisure's flagship fitness facility, Rodney Fitness Centre as part of their current curricular programme.

The programme is designed to teach children about the benefits of eating healthily and exercising.

The nursery recently purchased children’s gym equipment and visited the centre to see how a real gym operates.

The trip included a guided tour by one of the centre's fitness instructors followed by a short session in the aerobics hall.

Operations manager, Graeme Lackie, said: "Visiting a real gym is an excellent way to inform children of how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

“I hope the visit was beneficial for all those involved and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future.” Details: www.liveactive.co.uk
