Steven Franks is leaving his role as operations director of the Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) at the end of this month.

Although Franks is joining the commercial swimming sector, he will continue to work as a consultant for the STA to help develop key projects, such as the STAmark quality accreditation scheme.

Chief executive Roger Millward said: "On behalf of the trustees, I would like to thank Steve for all his hard work and the significant contribution he has made to the association's success both here in the UK and internationally over the past few years.

"We fully appreciate his future career aspirations and wish him every success."

Franks' successor will be announced shortly.
