REPs identifies new CPD system
As part of its on-going commitment to encouraging career development the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) has devised a new easier way, of assessing how many Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit points various activities are worth.
From now on all seminars at conventions, talks and workshops will be branded with the new logo (pictured) clearly showing the number of CPD credit points each activity will yield.
Currently, level II members have to accrue 16 CPD credit points each year and level II members need to clock up 24 CPD credit points.
Registrar Cliff Collins said: “Feedback from our members highlighted a real need to have a clearer system of identifying how the CPD credit point value of certain courses could be worked out.
“Hopefully the new logo will make things much clearer and will allow our members to make a more informed choice with regard to their continued education.”
Members attending conventions like those run by FitPro, Multitrax and Pure Energy are required to obtain a certificate of attendance to endorse their CPD credit points.
