The REPs has now got half of the exercise professionals in the UK signed up.

The support of the FIA’s Vanguard Group – which includes David Lloyd Leisure, Holmes Place, Fitness First, LA Fitness, LivingWell and Cannons Group – has resulted in the processing of hundreds of applications over the last month.

Registrar, Cliff Collins, said: “2003 has been fantastic for the Register.

"Support has been exceptional, not just from the big operators but also from the smaller groups and independent sites, with many companies providing the initial funding for their fitness professionals to join.”
