Hertfordshire-based Stevenage Leisure (SLL) has won two further management contracts taking the total number of leisure facilities it manages to 14.

The first of the two new contracts is with North Herts District Council and covers the management of three sites in Letchworth: North Herts Leisure Centre, Letchworth Outdoor Pool and Fearnhill Sports Centre.

The five-year contract will run from May 2005.

The second contract, with Herts County Council, will see SLL manage Knights Templar Sports Centre in Baldock for seven years from April 2005.

Managing director Ian Morton said: “Winning these additional leisure contracts is fantastic news for SLL and demonstrates that the company can compete in the open market by offering exceptional value to local communities.”

The company was formed seven years ago as a Not for Profit Distributing Organisation, operating four sites in Stevenage.
