Sport England scheme launched in Sheffield
A London 2012 legacy project, aimed at getting more than 400 people participating in sport, has launched in Sheffield.
Get Sheffield Fit, part of the £32m National Lottery Sportivate programme, is being run by Sheffield International Venues (SIV).
Designed to benefit from the increased interest in sport generated by the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, the new multi-sport programme offers discounted sports coaching and fitness memberships for teenagers and young adults.
People aged between 14 and 25-years-old can sign up for eight weeks of one-to-one coaching in a range of sporting activities ranging from golf and ice skating to park running and athletics.
The sessions will take place at the SIV-operated English Institute of Sport Sheffield, Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre, iceSheffield, Springs Leisure Centre, Concord Sports Centre and Hillsborough Leisure Centre.
