Stanley Casinos plans roll-out of new brand
Stanley Casinos has opened a new facility in Margate Kent and plans a roll out in areas where it feels the market 'is ready for change'. The £3.5m, Cascades Casino has been designed to widen the appeal of casinos by offering facilities such as bars and a restaurant as well as the latest casino technology. Stanley Casinos has had a site in Margate since 1990, but surrendered the license when the new site became available. The new 15,000sq ft casino in Zion Place is purpose built with an 18-table casino, a galleried 60-seat restaurant and two bars. In addition Cascades will be offering electronic roulette machine. Company spokesman, Martin Watson says the traditional image of casinos in the UK is of a smokey room with dim lighting: Cascades Casinos introduce a different experience. The concept is that they offer more of an all-round evening out than a pure gaming experience, appealing to those who might not normally consider visiting a casino, as well as traditional users. Stanley Casinos intend rolling out the brand across the country, with plans to open another casino in Manchester in October 2001.
