Third Space to launch second site
The owners of the Third Space health club in Piccadilly, London, will open a second site in the capital's Marylebone area in spring 2011.
The new 15,000sq ft (1,400sq m) club will cost around £2m to develop and will be located at the Marylebone Hotel.
Although exact details of facilities are yet to be confirmed, the club will include a full service spa and a large swimming pool.
Eric Dunmore, chief executive of Third Space, said it is likely that he will be looking to open more clubs in the future.
"We're committed to developing the Third Space brand. Once the new site has opened, we will work towards identifying new locations across London."
Third Space is owned by a management team which completed an MBO in 2007.
The buy out was backed by private equity company Graphite Capital, which also has investments in other leisure businesses, such as private club operator The Groucho Club; night club and pub company Inn-Brighton; and Park Holidays UK.
