The Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) has praised a training provider for the high level of education it provides to exercise and fitness instructors.

Focus Training offers CYMCA qualifications in exercise and fitness and received two grade 1 scores for its work during a recent week-long inspection. The chief executive of the company, Bob Ellis, invited the ALI to conduct an independent inspection of Focus Training.

“We do not receive money directly from the LSC or other government departments so we don’t have to be inspected, but I wanted to undertake some sort of assessment of our work. My team has worked immensely hard since we opened for business five years ago and to have external confirmation of the value of what we are doing is important,” said Ellis.
