Services offered
Active Training was established in 2003 and is the Licensed Training Centre for STOTT PILATES in the UK and delivers this method of Pilates instructor education courses and workshops from its studios in Oxford, London, Southampton and a temporary location in Edinburgh. STOTT PILATES Certification is recognised worldwide as a premium product and opens employment opportunities worldwide. Certification is only awarded to students who successfully complete the course (or courses) together with a written and practical examination.

Key Courses
The Intensive Mat-Plus and Intensive Reformer courses are suitable for fitness and health professionals and can be completed over a 2-week format or split into 3 or 4 weekends. For non-fitness industry professionals or those who wish for more contact time with our staff, the Enhanced Matwork course offers a slower paced learning programme with additional anatomy education workshops and extra 'enhanced' days in between the weekend sessions to enable students to complete their physical review, observation and practice teaching at the studio with a certified instructor as their mentor.

From here, students can move on to other equipment courses such as the Cadillac, Chair or Barrel, advanced-level training or the Injury and Special Population course. There is also a wide variety of workshops open to fitness professionals including non-Pilates instructors or those who have trained with other Pilates schools.

Awarding Bodies
In addition to the STOTT PILATES Certification, students can also choose to complete the CYQ National Qualification in Level 3 Pilates Matwork. equivalent to 2 'A' Levels, which gives you entrance to REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) at Level 3. To achieve this qualification students without an existing Level 3 fitness qualification will enrol on an additional distance learning module and test whereas existing Level 3 instructors will need to complete a case study and Viva.
