About the role:
Our Sport and Active Life department are keen to invite four new Front of House Receptionists into their team on a permanent basis.

About you:
In this post you will provide first level support for users of the Sports Centre and associated sports facilities. Part of your duties will be to take cash and card payment for facilities & services, sell memberships, take bookings, give information and provide a first class customer service experience for all facility users. We will rely on you to be the designated first responder to any swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa pool emergency and as such will be required to train and achieve the NaRS Pool Attendant qualification unless it is already held.

As our new Front of House Receptionist, you will join us with 5 GSCE’s, grade C or above, (or their equivalent) and experience of working within a customer service environment. It would be advantageous if you were IT literate across the range of MS Office programme. This role would be ideal for an individual who has a friendly manner and has enthusiasm and knowledge of the sporting world and fitness. We look forward to receiving your application.

Job description:
Énergie Fitness Bethnal Green currently have an opportunity to hire a night time cleaning operative for their 24-hour gym. The main purpose of this new role is to ensure that all areas of the gym facility are cleaned and maintained overnight to the required service and standards our members expect. The position will also involve an element of front of house customer service, attending to any club or member enquires.

Hours of work:
Night shift is 8 hours Monday through to Friday morning at a rate of £9 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Carry out cleaning tasks in all gym areas to the agreed time scales and hygiene standards
- Ensure all changing room facilities maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times
- Carry out regular and thorough inspections and treatments to maintain such conditions
- Point of contact for any club member enquiries
- Provide reception service to members when needed
- Ensure all areas of your daily schedule are completed as required
- Organise towel collection and laundry
- Removal of rubbish to designated check points
- Ensure any damage noticed during cleaning duties are reported to the Club Manager
- Adhering to defined procedures and health and safety regulations
- Carry out additional, emergency cleans as instructed by the Club Manager/Owners

Requirements:

- Must have an interest in Health and Fitness
- Be reliable, honest and hard working
- Able to communicate fluently in English (spoken, written and read) with members, visitors and management
- Strong orientation for quality customer service delivery
- Must have previous cleaning experience in Health Club/Hotel/Office Facilities
- A keen understanding of hygiene, cleaning and exceptional customer service
- Good interpersonal and communication skills as this role will involve being the sole point of contact for members during the night time shift
- Must be First Aid trained
- Physically be able to perform the duties listed above
- High standards and quality driven

The Front of House Apprenticeship is aimed at providing you with the first steps and skills to develop in the Leisure Reception role. This apprenticeship will help you to gain a fully nationally recognized Customer Service qualification along with developing interpersonal and customer interaction skills. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals who have a unique drive towards delivering a high level of customer service and administration.

Across the 12 month apprenticeship you will gain:

* Customer Service Level 2 Qualification

* Full sector specific Front of House Training
* Functional Skills in Maths & English

As part of your apprenticeship you will be embedded into a fully operational reception and admin department where you will work closely with experienced Receptionists and Front of House Managers to learn and develop the specific customer service standards. Your apprenticeship will enable you to develop an excellent understanding of what great customer service looks like and be able to demonstrate these transferable skills against nationally recognised standards. You’ll also gain the experience of using the reception systems, to unsure the customer has a positive experience of using our centres and develop a thorough understanding of all the products and services we offer.
